I never felt the need to “come out” to anyone. I lead my life as a man who happens to be gay. What I do in my bedroom is really no one’s business. I am 1 of 5 children and my family accepted me, from day one. I’ve lead a successful life, Navy Corpsman, 34 year federal employee and only had 2 creeps “object” to my lifestyle. I’m a very lucky man. My husband and I were married for 18 years, before a heart attack took him away. I had 18 years of magic.

I think people have to understand that most parents if they are being honest, really want grandchildren. When their children come out as gay their family comes to an end. In a lot of cases, there will be no one to carry on the family legacy and name. To some parents that isn't comforting.

I ignore messages from people who really should get a grip I mean Im not an unattractive person but some of these guys that message me demanding things are way way on the other side of the attraction scale. They are not being realistic. It could be because they are really old or very over weight. Im pretty fit, not perfect but overall fit so I expect people to be around the same as me so at least they can keep up in bed. I think most people do too. If it's someone that is around my age and fitness level but I just dont feel something at all I will tell them that we are not a match, or that Im looking for something else opposite to them, might be twink, younger etc. A lot of gays however, ignore everyone and act like they deserve only the best looking guys and anyone else messaging them don't even deserve a response because "Im so special I dont owe you anything". THAT is a serious problem. In the long run it ends up affecting them. I know this because a lot of my gay friends will point out who the aholes on the apps are and I block them or other hot guys will block them just because they start building a bad rep. Then they go around complaining that they dont have any good men. It's your own fault! The other issue is people have become too picky. They just want perfection and will not settle for less. Arrogance is a huge problem in gay men, spexially when they are decent looking. Please stop this.
